Licia Ann Chavis, age 64, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 16, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on June 30, 1961, in Lake Charles, Louisiana, to Leona Marie Predium and Wilson Anthony "BooZoo" Chavis Sr.
Licia will be fondly remembered as the heart and soul of every gathering. She had a lively personality, a sharp wit, and an infectious laugh that could light up any room. Always the life of the party, she brought people together through her warmth, her stories, and her genuine love of life. Licia cherished her family and friends, and she never missed an opportunity to show up, lend a hand, or share a laugh.
She found joy in simple pleasures-fishing, crabbing, and being outdoors-and she had a gift for cooking that brought comfort and joy to those around her. Feeding others was one of her many ways of showing love. A devout Catholic, Licia's faith remained a strong foundation throughout her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leona Marie Predium Chavis and Wilson Anthony "BooZoo" Chavis, Sr.; her son, Quincy Trail; grandson, Raiden Trail; brother, Anthony Charles Chavis; and sister, Margaret Harmon.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Cleveland "June" Reed; her son, Mason Trail (Tressie); daughter, Shala Trail; grandchildren, Ja'Myree Trail, Kyara LeBleu, Morgan Trail, Rhylee Trail, and MaKai Trail; sister, LouAnna Guidry; brothers, Wilson Chavis, Jr. (Poncho) and Rellis Chavis, Sr. (Johnnie Belle); and godchildren, Rellis Chavis, Jr., Kayla Chavis, and Bryce Gillum.
Pallbearers will be Rellis Chavis, Jr., Justin Chavis, Dillan John, Jadonta Blakley, Stevie Gillum, and Mason Trail.
Honorary pallbearers are Wilson Chavis, Jr., Rellis Chavis, Sr., Curtis Harmon, Cleveland "June" Reed, Justin Lance Romero, A.D. Latigue, Gerald (Tika) Guillory, Chucky Charlot, McKeithen Duhon and Tim Wolfe.
