Linda Ducote Bouzigard

August 4, 1940 — May 30, 2026

Linda Ducote Bouzigard passed away on May 30, 2026 in the late afternoon at Sage Oak memory care facility in Lake Charles.

Linda was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, caregiver, and friend. A graduate of Hotel Dieu School of Nursing in New Orleans, Louisiana, Class of 1961, she dedicated more than 30 years of her life to caring for others. Throughout her nursing career, she worked in hospitals, home health, and patient education throughout the New Orleans area.

Linda had a love for adventure and was truly a world traveler. Her son often remarked that her obituary should be accompanied by a globe to represent all the places she and her husband visited together. Along with their independent travels, Linda and Russell shared a love for cruising, enjoying more than 30 cruises throughout their lifetime.

When she was not traveling, Linda enjoyed spending time with a good book. She especially loved historical fiction and romance novels. She also loved to dance and found joy in all types of music and dancing.

Above all, Linda cherished her family. She was a loving presence in their lives and leaves behind countless memories of laughter, love, and time spent together.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Daemon Bouzigard and wife Sylvia, Emile Bouzigard and wife Gwen, Renee Bouzigard, and Dionne Bouzigard and fiancé Jim; her grandchildren, Jonni and husband Jason, Bostick "Bo," Syndi and fiancé Tommy, Jeremy, Gabrielle and husband Michael, and Justin; and her great-grandchildren, Kenadi, Kayla, Preston, Paige, Bradley, William, and Lennon.

Linda was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 59 years, Russell Bouzigard; her parents, Benjamin and Lillian Ducote; and all of her siblings Gordon Ducote, Clifton Ducote, Geneva Coco, Ruth Mayeux, Marvin Ducote, Raymond Ducote and Mercedes Mayeux
