Linda Elise Corbello Conrad

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Linda Elise Conrad, age 84, on August 24, 2026, in her beloved home in Iowa, Louisiana. Born on August 17, 1942, in Lake Charles, Louisiana, Linda was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother who touched the lives of all who knew her.

Linda was a proud graduate of Fenton High School and pursued a diverse career that included roles as a bookkeeper, stewardess, model, and decorator. She had a remarkable eye for beauty and a talent for creating warm, inviting spaces that reflected her passion for design. Throughout her life, Linda cherished her faith in Jesus, which guided her actions and enriched her relationships.

Linda is survived by her loving husband, Charles Conrad, Sr., and their two sons, Charles "Chip" Conrad, Jr. (Kelli) and Randy Conrad (Brandi). She also leaves behind her cherished siblings, Marie Mercier (Alfred), Harriet Thibodeaux, and James Corbello (Kay). Her legacy will live on through her grandchildren, Caitlin Conrad, Shain Kirby, Austin Hall, and Blake Hall, as well as her great-grandchildren, Emunah Hall, David Hall, Margaret Hall, Judson Hall, and two on the way.

A Gathering of Friends will be held at Johnson Funeral Home of Iowa on Thursday, August 27, 2026, at 11:00 AM, offering a chance for loved ones to share their memories and celebrate Linda's wonderfully rich life. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday at 1:00 PM in the funeral home, where family and friends will come together to honor her spirit and everlasting love. Cremation will follow the funeral service under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home of Iowa.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Eddie and Dorothy Lindstrom Corbello; her siblings, Catherine Martin, Richard Corbello, and Ralph Corbello.
