Linda Sue Vidrine

LeBleu Settlement – Linda Sue Vidrine, born June 13, 1947, daughter of the late Elray and Mildred (LeBleu) Busby, passed away in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her family on Friday, October 11, 2024 at the age of 77.

Linda enjoyed going to the casino, cooking, baking, gardening, garage sales, and playing Wahoo with her sisters. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren that she adored. Linda retired from the Lake Charles American Press after 25 years.

Linda is survived by her husband of 59 years, Wilbert “Junior” Vidrine, Jr; son, Lonnie Vidrine, and wife Laurie; daughter, Teresa Vidrine Guillory, and husband Robert; grandchildren, Bret Vidrine, and wife Candace, Derrick Vidrine, and wife Caitlyn, Stephanie Alcantara, and husband Edward, Zaleigh Vidrine, Chris Langley, Andy Langley, Kaitlyn Langley; great-grandchildren, Ferrin Vidrine and James Vidrine; sisters, Millie Bowman, Sybil Ducat, and husband Tony, Carolyn “Cookie” LaFleur, and husband Tracy; brothers, Jerry Busby, and wife Brenda, Myles Busby; brothers-in-law, Kenneth Vidrine, Larry Vidrine, and wife Leona, Keith Milliron; numerous nieces, and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Gordon Busby; sisters, Julia Ann Moss, Betty Jean Vidrine, Ella Rae Milliron; brother-in-law, Arden Bowman.

Funeral services are, Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at 11 a.m. in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. Pastor Boo Miller will officiate. Burial will follow in LeBleu Cemetery of Fenton under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. Visitation begins in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa on Monday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and resumes Tuesday from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m.
