Lloyd Neal Peterson, 81, of Sulphur passed away on June 28, 2017 in his residence. Lloyd was born on January 20, 1936 in Minneapolis, MN. He served his country in the U S Navy, worked for the Seattle Fire and Police Departments as well as Boeing Aviation. Lloyd was a member of New Destiny Assembly of God Church, the Lions Club, VFW, and the American Legion. He enjoyed crafts and painting at the Senior Center and loved being around children.
Lloyd is survived by his wife of 18 years, Mary Peterson of Sulphur; 2 sons, Neal Peterson of Tacoma, WA, and Steve Peterson (Kerri) of Seattle, WA; 3 step-sons, Wally Butler (Kelly), Rodney Butler (Trish), and Jeff Butler (Allie); step-daughter, Crystal Butler Guillory (Joe); 11 grandchildren;4 great-grandchildren; sister, Suzie Eglund of Alberta Canada; brother, Bud Peterson of Washington State; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parent, Peter and Theodora Peterson; his brothers, Marty and Dickie Peterson.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 30, 2017 at 2 P.M. with Pastor Phil Cochran officiating at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mimosa Pines Cemetery in Carlyss under the direction of Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Friday, June 30, 2017 from 12 P.M. until time of the service. Pallbearers will be his grandsons, honoring their grandfather, Taylor Butler, Elliott Butler, Bryin Landry, Matthew Landry, Caleb McPayne, and Rafe Loupe.
