Lois Demeritt

Lois Demeritt, 87, of Lake Charles died on January 1, 2012 in a local hospital.
Mrs. Demeritt was born on November 26, 1924 in Lake Charles where she was a life time resident. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.
She will be missed dearly by those who loved her. Survivors include a daughter, Wannadean "Teedee" Hughes and husband Charles of Lafayette; two sons, Shelby Doucet and wife Bonnie of Lake Charles and Glyn Demeritt of Lake Charles; a son-in-law, Floyd St. Andrew of Michigan; three siblings; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Robert Demeritt and a daughter, Jane St. Andrew.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, January 5, 2012 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Francis LaRocque will officiate. Cremation will follow services. Visitation will be on Thursday from 9:00 AM until the start of the service.
