Lois Leblanc Belaire

September 18, 1934 — November 9, 2018

Lois LeBlanc Belaire, 84, was welcomed into Heaven on Friday, November 9, 2018.

 

She resided in Lake Charles, LA and Georgetown, TX. She was born in Lacassine, LA where she lived and raised her family. She graduated from Lacassine High School and was awarded a music scholarship to Louisiana State University-Shreveport. She began a mortgage banking career in the early 1970s and opened Troy & Nichols, Inc. and continued there until her retirement in 1997. Her passions were baking, reading, playing cards, telling jokes, dancing, and traveling.

 

Our fondest memories of mom include the way she gave of herself so generously to everyone and her unending love for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She leaves a legacy of integrity.

 

Ms. Belaire is survived by four daughters, Karen Miller (Jody), Suzanne Mallett, Marie Bennett, and Mona Hastings (Dan); ten grandchildren, Jessica White (Don), Kelly Lowe (Trey), Lacie Mallett, Grant Gaugh (Shelby), Kayla Gaugh, Megan Belaire, Nicholas Belaire, and Hunter Broussard (fiancé Christin Clark), Jenni Hastings, and Sarah Crook (Chet); nine great grandchildren; two sisters, Betty Roberts, and Helen Moreau; brother, Billy Ray LeBlanc; and daughter-in-law, Melissa Belaire.

 

She is preceded in death by her son, Kenneth Belaire; son-in-law, Kenneth Mallett; parents, Reaul and Stella LeBlanc; sister, Margie Verret; and three brothers, Carrol LeBlanc, Benny LeBlanc, and little Jimmy LeBlanc.

 

A memorial service will be held at Johnson Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at 10AM. Father Carlos Garcia will officiate. Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home. Burial of the urn will immediately follow the service at Highland Memory Park. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Monday, November 12 from 4PM to 8PM and will resume Tuesday morning at 9AM.

 

Ms. Belaire and her family are forever grateful to Dr. Ben & Joanna Guilbeau, Dr. Mike Broussard and the oncology group, Grand Cove Rehab and Nursing staff, and Dr. Danette Null.
