Lois Evelyn Leger

Iowa – Lois Leger, 83, passed away in a local care facility June 1, 2015.
Lois was born in Iowa on December 13, 1931 to the late Fred and Evelyn Savant Leger. She worked for Calcasieu Marine Bank and retired after 40 years.
She is survived by nieces and nephews, Jane Arrington (Johnny), Patricia Schwan, Catherine Sittig (Karl), Jimmy Becnel (Linda), Joe Becnel (Jo Ann), Fred Becnel (Becky), Ann Petry (Tom) and Pierre Leger; numerous great nieces and nephews. Lois is preceded in death by her parents, siblings, Juanita Becnel, Freddie Leger and Willard Leger; nieces, Bernadette Lank ,Michelle Hullinger and Evelyn Becnel Cutler.
A Mass of Christian burial will be in St. Raphael Catholic Church Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at 10 a.m. with Father Roland Vaughn officiating. Burial will follow in Lacassine Cemetery under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home. Visitation begins Tuesday in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. with a rosary at 7 p.m. and will resume Wednesday in the funeral home from 8 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. Altar servers are Claire Smith and Max Arrington. Pallbearers assisting in her service are Michael, Andrew and Adam Becnel, Victor Arrington, Chas and Charlie Smith.
