Loneda Marie Fuselier, born May 3, 1921, daughter of the late John and Leona (Granger) Gerard, passed away Monday, May 21, 2018 in a local care center, at the age of 97.
Loneda is survived by her daughters, Margaret Bertrand (Edward) and Esther Jane Fontenot; siblings, Anna Grace Trahan, Dorothy Begnaud (Robert), Martha Benoit and John “Jr” Gerard (Mary Joyce); 5 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Wilfred “Fred” Fuselier, parents, siblings and son-in-law, Wilbert “Bo” Fontenot.
A Mass of Christian burial will be in St. John the Evangelist Church, Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at 10 a.m. with Fr. Roland Vaughn officiating. Burial will follow in Lacassine Cemetery under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. Visitation is Tuesday in the Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa, from 5 p.m. – 9 p.m., with a rosary at 7 p.m. and resumes Wednesday in the funeral home from 8 a.m. – 9:30 a.m.
