Lorena Alma Trahan Hebert, 90, of Grand Lake, LA, died on Thursday, May 11, 2017 in a Jennings care facility.
Mrs. Hebert was born November 5, 1926 in Little Chenier, LA and has lived in Grand Lake since 1957 after Hurricane Audry. She was a member of St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Church, where she sang in the choir. She enjoyed tending to her flowers and decorating for Christmas. She also enjoyed traveling to local nursing homes and playing her guitar. Mrs. Hebert will always be remembered for her happiness and laughter and had a great love for the Lord.
Mrs. Hebert is survived by her sons, Lonnie Hebert and wife Renelle of Broussard, LA and Gilbert L. Hebert and wife Jo of Grand Lake; daughter, Cathy Garven and husband Mac of Grand Lake; sisters, Betty LaBove of Little Chenier and Iola Smith of Port Acres, TX; grandchildren, Michael Wilkinson, Adam Hebert and wife Jana, Trevor Hebert and wife Evan, Maggie Page and husband Jordan, Kellie Quinn and husband Byron and Ryan Boudreaux and wife Tara; great-grandchildren, Kaylee Hebert, Harley Hebert, Anna Rose Hebert, Audrey Grace Hebert, Collin McCombs, Ella Quinn, Emma Page, Nala Boudreaux, and Luke Boudreaux; and her beloved granddog, Roxie
She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-six years, Gilbert Clayton Hebert; two sisters; one brother; and one granddaughter, Kodi Hebert.
Her funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, May 15, 2017 at St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Church. Monsignor James Gaddy will officiate. Burial will follow in Grand Lake Community Cemetery. Visitation will be at Johnson Funeral Home on Sunday from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a rosary at 6:00 PM and continue on Monday from 8:00 AM to 9:15 AM at the funeral home.
