Lorene Helen Jones

Lorene Helen Fontenot Jones, 88, of Lake Charles, passed away Sunday, Feb. 26, 2017. A former school bus driver, she was born in Westlake, La., in 1928, to John and Rebecca Fontenot.

Visitation before the funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March, 1, at 1PM at Christ Community Church in Lake Charles, 2500 West Prien Lake Rd. The Rev. Rick McClain will officiate. Funeral services will be held at 2PM at the church.  Interment will be in Consolata Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. She lived her life faithfully in quiet service to her family, her church and to her Savior.

Lorene is preceded in death by her husband, William Claude Jones; her parents, John and Rebecca Fontenot; four brothers; and two sisters.

She is survived by her three daughters, Rita and husband Doug Ainsworth of Oak Grove, La., Dianne Graves of Lake Charles, Derenda and Patrick Keating of Fredericksburg, Texas; one son; Billy Olson; and one sister, Geneva Parks of Missouri; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
