Loretta Colligan Henry, age 75, peacefully joined her husband in eternal rest on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at her home in Sulphur surrounded by her family. She was comforted every day with the belief in a prayer that she would be reunited with our Dad “once” her work here was done”. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Her life began in 1942 in Hackberry as the daughter of Ernestine Roux and Joseph Leland Colligan. She lived most of her life in Sulphur with her husband of 56 years, Robert F. Henry. She retired in 2007 after 43 years in healthcare with the last 19 years as an assistant professor of Nursing at McNeese. She was a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society and Delta Zeta Sorority. Her greatest joy was the love and care that she gave to her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed crafting, floral arranging, and cooking.
