Lorraine Hoover, 60, of Port Neches, TX went home to be in peace with the Lord on Thursday, February 9, 2017 in her residence after a long battle with cancer.
Lorraine was born on August 16, 1956 in Lake Charles, LA where she lived all of her life until moving with her husband to Port Neches, TX eleven years ago. She was a member of South City Christian Church.
Her greatest accomplishments in life were having the rewarding roles as a wife, mom, and “Nana”. She enjoyed every moment spent with family and especially cherished her grandchildren and her time spent with them and “spoiling” them. Lorraine will be remembered for her caring and giving heart, always willing to help others and give a lending hand.
Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 21 years, David Hoover of Port Neches, TX; two daughters, Lisa Monticello (Sean) of League City, TX and Christy Miller (Chad) of Friendswood, TX; a step daughter, Jeanne Hoover of Oberlin, LA; a step son, Blaine Hoover (Brooke) of Broussard, LA; a brother, Ricky Logue (Pamalia) of Crowley, LA; and four very special grandchildren, Hailey and Gabrielle Miller and Nicolas and Alexander Monticello.
She was preceded in death by her father, Paul Logue; her mother and step father, Emma and Lee Fontenot; and a brother, Johnny Logue.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, February 12, 2017 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Robby Bacon will officiate. Burial will follow in Consolata Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Saturday from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM and will continue on Sunday from 11:00 AM until the start of the service.
