Louis Hoffpauir

Louis (L.A.) Adam Hoffpauir, 93, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 20, 2025. He was born August 24, 1932, in Crowley, Louisiana, to Mabel Francis Vail and Daniel Hoffpauir.

L.A. was a lifelong farmer, raising rice, soybeans, and cattle. He was a proud member of Louisiana Farm Bureau and the Louisiana Cattleman Association. He enjoyed tending to his vegetable garden and could always be found with a fresh cup of coffee in hand. A devoted Christian, he was a faithful member of Lake Pointe Community Church. Above all, L.A. cherished time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 63 years, Emma Edda Hoffpauir; his children: Russell Hoffpauir and wife Leah, Robert Hoffpauir and wife Angie, Brent Hoffpauir and wife Joan, Bart Hoffpauir and wife Michelle, and Greg Hoffpauir and wife Jamie;grandchildren, Caty Hoffpauir, Isaac Hoffpauir and wife Nikki, Emma Hoffpauir, Elliot Hoffpauir and wife Bailey, Audrey Hoffpauir with Landon Mershimer, Louis Hoffpauir and wife Kalysa, Edward Hoffpauir, Andrew Hoffpauir, Abigail Hoffpauir, Alivia Hoffpauir Ava Hoffpauir, Garrett Hoffpauir and wife Keaira, Grace Erickson and husband Alex, and Gavin Hoffpauir; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his granddaughter, Addie Hoffpauir; and his siblings, Dan Hoffpauir, Lois Koonce, and Helen Joiner.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Johnson Funeral Home on Lake Street. Visitation will be Monday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and will resume Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. L.A. will be laid to rest at Highland Cemetery.
