Louise B. Jackson

Louise B. Jackson, 91, of Lake Charles died at 6:50 PM on Wednesday, July 6, 2016 in a local hospital.

Ms. Jackson was born in Winnsboro, LA and lived in Lafayette for 58 years before moving to Lake Charles 2 years ago to be with her daughter. She retired from Hancock Fabric in Lafayette after many years of service. She enjoyed homemaking and sewing. In her younger years she and her husband enjoyed traveling the world.

Those left to cherish her memory are a daughter, Lola Toups and husband Leon Toups of Lake Charles; two grandchildren, Karen Davies of Toronto, Canada and Richard Breaux of Katy, TX; and three great grandchildren, Sara Davies of Toronto, Canada, and Lauren and Landen Breaux both of Katy, TX.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Fayetta and Archie Browder; two sisters, Juanita Knappenburgur and Geneva Bacle; and father of her daughter, Jesse Jackson.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at Consolata Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. The Rev. Ronnie Estes will officiate. Visitation will begin on Saturday in the funeral home at 1:00 PM until leaving for the cemetery at 2:30 PM.
