Lucie Broussard Guidry, 78, passed away in a local care center February, 10, 2017.
Lucie was born January 28, 1939 to the late Etienne & Melina (Lacombe) Broussard.
She leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Leo; children, Maxine G. Tupper (Bobby), Karen Poole, Gifford Guidry, Gary Guidry (Darla Toombs), Kelly Guidry (Michelle Litton Guidry) and Roger Guidry; siblings, Lillian Broxton, Hazel Marceaux, Bobbie Lee Dugas, Leta Mae Duplechain, George Broussard (Margaret), Jeannette Benoit and Peggy Navarre (Glen); 16 grandchildren, Bobbie Jo (Jo Carlin) Dickens, Billie Jo (Lynn) Champagne, Timothy (Mendy) Tupper, Garrick (Chenoa) Poole, Brandi (Brian) Folse, Michael Poole, Daniel Poole, Jonathan (Jessica) Guidry, Janie (Conrad) Zaunbrecher, Katie (Bryon Thibeaux, Jr.), Joshua Guidry, Jill King, Jude Guidry, Courtney (Nathan) Paul, Dylan Guidry, and Abby Guidry. (Alex Hicova & Bowen Xuan); 12 great grandchildren, Sidney (Hayden) Broussard, Taylor Dickens, Charlee Jo Tupper, Brooke Poole, Jennifer Poole, Celeste, Folse, Simone Folse, Braiden Folse, Elliott Zaunbrecher, Lexie King Zyler Guidry and Gracie Guidry, (with a great-grandchild on the way, Courtney (Nathan Paul) and 1 great-great- great grandchild on the way, Sidney (Hayden) Broussard.
She is preceded in death by her parents; and 3 siblings, Nora Louviere, T-Boy Broussard and Joe Broussard.
A Memorial Mass will be held in St. John the Vianney of Bell City on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at 11 a.m. with Father Emmanuel Tanu officiating. Cremation was under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home. A rosary will be recited at 10:30 a.m. in the church.
