Metairie-Lucille Katherine Bourne, born August 9, 1936 in Colfax, daughter of the late Guy Goode and Libby Mae (Vercher) Chelette, passed away in East Jefferson General Hospital, passed away October 29, 2019, at the age of 83.
Lucille was a graduate of Colfax High and Sowela. She was a retired LPN.
Lucille is survived by her daughter, Karen Lynn Bourne of Metairie; sons, William Randall Bourne (Cindy) of Kenner, LA; Andrew David Bourne of Telluride, CO; sister, Bessie Nell Bryant (Bobby) of Montgomery, LA; grandchildren, Linsey Anne Bourne; Jill Elizabeth Bourne; Joshua N. W. Bourne; great-grandchildren, Lana Elizabeth Baker and Jade Katherine Gwen Baker; numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, William Rosemund Bourne; daughter, Pamela Anne Bourne; siblings, Fountain Chelette; Meritte Chelette; Daniel Chelette; Lenore St. Andrie; Cecil Chelette; Mary Chelette; Guy Chelette.
A Mass of Christian burial is Friday, November 8, 2019 in St. Raphael Catholic Church in Iowa at 11 a.m. Rev. Dismas Mauk, Celebrant. Visitation is in the church from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Lacassine Cemetery under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa.
