Lucille Gorum

Lucille Gorum, 87, of Sulphur passed away on December 25, 2016 in a local care center. She was a beautiful lady inside and out. Lucille loved babies, she always said there was nothing more beautiful than a child laughing. She took great joy in many things, including Christmas, cardinals, humming birds, and pretty flowers.

Lucille will be greatly missed by all, especially her family.

Lucille is survived by her children, Gale Midkiff and husband Sherman, Karen ”Tootie ”Gorum, Glen Gorum, Nancy Campbell and husband Russell, and Danny Gorum and wife Patricia;17 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren with 2 more on the way; 8 great-great grandchildren; and her sister, Mabel Ferrell. She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Lawrence Earl Gorum; her son, Tommy Gorum; and her 2 great-great grandchildren, Zoey Skye Vincent and Jordyn Faith Vincent.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at 10 A.M. at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Mimosa Pines Cemetery in Carlyss under the direction of Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 from 4-8 P.M. at the funeral home with visitation continuing on Wednesday from 8 A.M. until time of the service.
