Iowa – Lucy Miller Foreman, a devoted mom and grandmother, born in Welsh on September 6, 1930, daughter of the late Ernest and Dora (Thibodeaux) Miller, passed away Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at the age of 92.
Lucy graduated from Iowa High School. She was a faithful member of St. Raphael Catholic Church, serving the Catholic Daughters, Altar Society, Eucharistic Minister, Lector, and Rosary Leader. Lucy enjoyed gardening, sewing, traveling, mowing, and spending time with her family.
Survivors are her; sons, Thomas Foreman; David Foreman (Theresa); Daniel Foreman (Susan) and James Foreman (Joshlyn); daughters, Elizabeth Sue Long (Craig); Christine Marie Foreman; sister, Agnes Bertrand; 15 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Foreman; parents; brothers, Hank Miller, Allen Miller, Edward Miller; sisters, Ruby Arnold, Lena Sittig, Theresa Corbello.
A Mass of Christian Burial is Monday, April 3, 2023 at 11 a.m. in St. Raphael Catholic Church. Rev. Tony Fontenot, Celebrant. Burial will follow in Lacassine Cemetery under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. Visitation is Sunday in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m., with a rosary recited at 6 p.m. and will resume Monday from 8 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. Pallbearers assisting in her service are John Foreman, Jeremy Foreman, Pete Foreman, Andy Fontenot, Isaac Foreman and Peyton Foreman.
