Lula Mae Duhon Enders, 78, of Lake Charles, passed away in the comfort of her home surrounded by her family on Thursday November 28, 2024 after an extended illness.
Lula was a native and long-time resident of the Lake Charles area, having moved back to Lake Charles from Texas due to her health. She was of the Catholic Faith.
Preceding her in death are her parents, John Vines and Mary Ann Gotte Benoit. She leaves to honor and cherish her memories, her two sons, David Lee Duhon Sr. (Donna), Lake Charles and Daron Lee Duhon, Moss Bluff; sister, Delores “Dee” George (Boe), Dayton, TX.; grandchildren, David Lee Duhon, Jr., Lake Charles; Dina Lynn Duhon, Moss Bluff; Lacy Nicole Gary (Matthew), Iota; Joseph William Neff (Callie), Colorado; and Katie Mae Duhon, Lake Charles; Great Grandchildren, Athena Marie Duhon, Elena Beth Gary, Ella Rose Gary, Aubree Nicole Lindemann, Bennett Hayes Duhon, Oliver Sailor Neff, Johanna Mae Dyer and Rayna Lee Neal.
A gathering of family and friends will be from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Monday December 2, 2024 at the chapel of Johnson Funeral Home of Lake Charles and will continue on Tuesday December 3 from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Funeral Services will begin at 10:00 AM with Monsignor Harry Greig officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens.
