Lula Mae Doan, 91, passed away on April 6, 2017 in a local care center. She was a lifelong resident of Westlake, enjoyed reading, gardening and singing. Lula loved spending time with her family and friends and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Lula is survived by her four children, Danny Doan and wife Deborah of Sulphur, Martha Weaver and husband Dan of Orange, TX, Kenneth Doan and wife Kathy of Liberty, TX and Janet Doan and fiancé James Phillips of Lake Charles; 11 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ozema and Martha David; her loving husband of 40 years Richard R. Doan; and 7 siblings.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 10, 2017 at 10 A.M. at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home with Rev. Allan Upton officiating. Burial will be in Consolata Cemetery in Lake Charles under the direction of Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 9, 2017 from 3-8 P.M. at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home and will continue on Monday, April 10 at 8 A.M. until time of the service. The family would like to thank Cal-Cam Hospital, High Hope and Brighton Bridge Hospice for taking such great care of Lula Mae.
