Lupe Anthony Ramirez, Sr.
Iowa-Lupe Anthony Ramirez, Sr., 67, passed away in his residence on Sunday, December 7, 2014 surrounded by his family.
Lupe was born on July 28, 1947 in Lake Charles to the late Joe and Amy (LeBlanc) Ramirez. He was employed for many years at Friendly Home Center and Stine Lumber Co. His hobbies included fishing, hunting and getting together with his family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Carolyn Vital Ramirez of Iowa; children, Lupe Anthony Ramirez, Jr., (Wanda) of Lake Charles, Terrell Rubin of Pensacola, FL, Shelrica “Renee” Ramirez, Tawayna Ramirez Davis (Derrick) and Shanita Gates, all of Lake Charles; siblings, Tony Ramirez (Julie) of Deer Park, TX, Frankie Ramirez of Lake Charles, Terry Ramirez of Lake Charles, Jerry Ramirez (Anita) of Iowa, Sherry Faulkner and Geneva Ramirez, both of Lake Charles; beloved niece, Jessica Ramirez; 17 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Bennie Ramirez.
Visitation will be in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home on Saturday, December 13, 2014 from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday in the funeral home with Rev. Carl Joseph officiating. Burial will follow in Lorrain DeRouen Cemetery under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home.
