It is with heavy heart, intense sadness along with extreme joy that we announce the transition of our daddy, brother, uncle, friend and husband Luther Ronald Miller on July 21, 2025.
He leaves behind to mourn the loss, wife of 59 years Mary Nell Miller of Fenton; four daughters who will miss their best friend and daddy, Montie Lou Landry (David) of Woodlawn, Tina Marie Trahan (Stephen) of Welsh, Theresa Dale Landry (Bobby) of Fenton, Mary Lydia Bertrand of Alamogordo, NM, and Paw to Christopher Joseph (C.J.) Landry, Taylor Joshua Landry, Pamela Orgeron, Stephen Quade Trahan, Mason Trahan, Stuart Trahan, Colby Dale Landry, Tolby Lee Landry, Mary Beth Bertrand Matherly. Maggie Bertrand Baldwin, Jude Bertrand, 15 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. He also leaves behind 2 brothers, Ralph Miller of Duson and Jerry Wayne Miller of Dry Creek; one sister Katherine M. Langley of Fenton, and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
We can only imagine the suffering, loneliness and pain he experienced before he transitioned into another life where he will be greeted by parents, Aladin and Maybell Miller, third child born on March 10, 1937. He will rejoin his predeceased brothers, A.J. Miller, Anyer “Tiny” Miller, Malcom Miller and baby brother, Johnny Miller; grandson, Robert Lee Junior Landry, and son-in-law, John Bertrand.
A Mass of Christian burial will be in St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Fenton on Friday, July 25, 2025 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Jom Joseph and Rev. Alan Trouille, Celebrants. Burial will follow in LeBleu Cemetery in Fenton. Visitation will begin Thursday in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m., with a rosary recited at 6 p.m. and will resume Friday in the funeral home from 8 a.m. until 10:15 a.m. Pallbearers assisting in his service will be his six grandsons.
The family would like to thank all the staff and nurses at Golden Age of Welsh for their care and kindness, Harbor Hospice, all the people who came by to visit or inquired as to his well-being.
