Lyn James Lanchbury

Lyn James Lanchbury, born in Maesteg, Wales on November 7, 1957, son of the late Brian and Pamela Rickets Lanchbury, passed away on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at the age of sixty-seven.
Lyn served for many years in the Territorial Army Welsh Guards. A graduate of Maesteg High School and Lyn received a degree from Leicester University. While living in Cornwall, UK he worked as a lab technician at Newquay Tretherras School for many years, upon relocating to Louisiana he worked for the oil industry and then Matt’s Appliances. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, rally racing and snooker.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Lyn is survived by his wife, Lorraine Lanchbury; sons, Michael and Meryn Lanchbury; brother, Darrin Lanchbury (Kellie).
Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. Private memorial services will be held at a later date.
