Lynn Andrus

Lynn Andrus, 82, of Lake Charles, died peacefully in the comfort of his home on Monday January 2, 2017 with his family at his side.

Lynn was a native and lifelong resident of Lake Charles. He was a graduate of LaGrange High School and retired from BFI as well as a Deputy Sheriff with the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s office. Lynn was a member of Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church.

Lynn was preceded in death by his parents, Fernes and Geneva LeBleu Andrus; brother, Freddie Andrus; sisters, Edith Andrus Fontenot and Thelma Andrus Siemens; and a daughter, Gina Lynn Andrus Miller. He leaves to honor and cherish his memories his beloved wife of 55 years, Rita Fay Odom Andrus; daughter, Sherry Laine Andrus Keller and husband Charles IV, Arlington, TX; son, Michael Craig Andrus, Lake Charles; grandchildren, Monica Hebert and husband Nathan, Kelly Andrus, Devaney Benton and husband Todd, and Kelsey Andrus; great grandchildren, Quentin Miller, Daven Benton, Juliana Hebert and Dalen Hebert.

Visitation will be at Johnson Funeral Home from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Thursday January 5, 2017. A Rosary will be recited beginning at 6:00 PM on Thursday with a Memorial Celebration of his Life to follow.
