Lynn Ann Lootens

December 26, 1975 — April 12, 2017

Lynn Ann Lootens
12/26/1975 - 04/12/2017
"Lynn was born the day after Christmas, but she was quick to tell you she was NOT a Christmas baby.  December 26th had to have birthday cards, birthday wrap on birthday presents, and a birthday cake."
Lynn was born and spent her early years in Brooklyn, NY.  She had fond memories of pizza places, talking on stoops, and the sounds of the city.
During her teen years, Lynn and her family moved upstate and settled down in Utica, NY.  There she met her best friend Kim Spatto (Gazzal).  Lynn graduated from Thomas R. Proctor High School in 1993.  She graduated from the Utica School of Commerce a few years later.
Lynn seemed content with her life in New York, until one night she received an Instant Message from a guy in Iowa.  From that night on, her life was forever changed.
Lynn left Utica with Peter Lootens a year later and they began their lives together in their first home together in New Hampshire.
Lynn and Pete started a family together when Tyler was born in 2004.  Although Lynn worked on and off throughout her life, her greatest career was being a wife and mother.  Tyler was "her little miracle" and she loved him to her last breath.

"Lynn always said her home was wherever she was with her family.  That being said, Lynn was "home" in several places throughout the rest of her life."
Lynn and her family made their home in not only New Hampshire over the years, but also Moline, IL,  Kansas City, MO,  DeWitt, IA,  and finally Lake Charles, LA.
"No matter where she lived Lynn would always say, 'you can take the girl out of the city, but you can't take the city out of the girl.'  This was most evident when she had a point to prove.  Her accent was hidden, but it was still there, right behind her attitude."
