An Angel of God came down from Heaven, touched Mabel and told her that her place in Heaven that Our Almighty God had prepared for her was ready. Mabel accepted the message from the Angel and went to claim her place in Heaven. She left her earthly life on Friday, August 15, 2014 at 7:45 AM in Lake Charles, LA to enter into the beautiful Golden Gates of Heaven, where she will have no more pain and suffering. She lived to reach the blessed age of 84 years old. When the Gates of Heaven opened, she was reunited with her parents, Foster and Marteal Victorian; brother, Joseph Victorian; sister, Rosa V. Huntsberry; brothers-in-law, Adam Stevens and William Huntsberry; two nephews and three nieces, Harold, Donald, and Julia Huntsberry, Jeannette Stevens, and Mildred Judwin. This was surely her best reunion Those left to cherish her memories are two sisters, Elma Stevens and Ella Mae (J.B.) Carter; one brother, Paul (Lucille) Victorian; one sister-in-law, Easter Mae Victorian; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Mabel loved to crochet, work in her vegetable garden and taking care of her plants. She especially loved flowering plants. She worked at St. Patrick Hospital for approximately thirty-five years in the Dietary Department. Mabel was very proud of this accomplishment. Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at St. John Bosco Catholic Church under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Father Albert Borel will officiate. Burial will follow in Perkins Cemetery in Westlake, LA. Visitation will be at the church from 9:00 AM until the start of the service with a rosary at 10:00 AM.
