Iowa – Mack Shuff, Jr., born in Oakdale on October 1, 1938, son of the late Mack and Doris (Fontenot) Shuff, passed away Monday, March 18, 2024, at the age of eighty-five.
Mack served in the U. S. Airforce and worked as a diesel mechanic. He was a member of the Shriners and the American Legion. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Matthew and Burchman Shuff, and sister, Marie Riggs.
Mack is survived by his loving and devoted wife of sixty-six years, Louise Shuff; sons, Keith (Alice) Shuff, Neal (Pam) Shuff, and Troy (Danielle) Shuff; brother, Allen Shuff; grandchildren, Kandice Shuff, Kristen Shuff, Karley (Brandon) Leleux, Trent (Haylee) Shuff, Tiffany (Matt) Barr, Chloe (Mason) Settle, and Marissa Shuff; and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa on Thursday, March 21, 2024 at 10 a.m. Rev. Roland Vaughn, Celebrant. Burial will follow in Lacassine Cemetery under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. Visitation will begin Wednesday in the funeral home from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m., with a rosary recited at 6 p.m. and will resume Thursday from 8 a.m. until the time of service at 10 a.m.
