Manuel Omero Garces

Manuel Omero Garces, 75 of Sulphur, LA passed away on June 11, 2025.

He was the eldest son of Roque & Paula Garces and was born March 20, 1950, in Mercedes, TX.

He was a graduate of Mercedes High School. His love of travel started at an early age, secondary to his knowledge and skill of construction, which allowed him to work and travel the countryside.

Although his work took him many places, he made time to see his family and spoil his grandbabies. His love of people and his ability to cook ensured he made friends wherever he was so he was never alone.

He was preceded in passing by his parents and one brother, Daniel Garces.

He is survived by his children, Juan (Laura), Roque, Raul, Juana, Manuel Jr., and Cris; siblings, Elena, Polo, Bonnie, and Ruben; numerous grandchildren and friends.

Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson & Robison Funeral Home, with a celebration of his life to be held at a later date. He will be laid to rest in Cemetery.
