Marc Lucas

Marc Lucas, 50, best hubby ever to Nickie Demarie Lucas passed away on May 23, 2021, in his home.  Marc was an avid golfer and loved his days on the course.  He served in the National Guard and worked for the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office.  Marc also worked security for Citgo Petroleum until he received his degree and became a proud operator for 14 years.  He also worked security for G4S.  His most favorite achievement was with the Louisiana storm patrol Cajun Navy.  He found so much pleasure helping anyone and everyone during our devastating hurricane season.  He would jump out of bed for every call.  Marc never met a stranger and loved everyone genuinely, even those that did not understand his joy.  He loved to dance and would dance anywhere for any reason.  Marc and Nickie loved traveling to the Smokey mountains and driving backroads for hours just to sight see.   

Marc is survived by his wife, Nickie Lucas of Sulphur; his son, Matthew Lucas of Vinton; his mother, Janet Clark of Florida; his father, Kent Lucas and wife, Linda of Lake Charles; sister, Renee Lynn Burke and husband, Tom of Georgia; brother, Kevin James Lucas of Florida; three stepsisters, Tammy Amy and husband, Howard of Lake Charles, Charrie Pipkins of Colorado and Emily Woods of Illinois; three nephews, Jordan, Lucas and Kevin; and his fur babies, Shortie, Bones (Marc’s constant Cajun Navy companion), Graceland, Cackie, Cleo and Tickles. 

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 10, 2021 at 1 P.M. at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 11 A.M. until time of the service.

Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson and Robison Funeral Home.
