With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, Margaret Ann Thibodeaux, who left this world on July 2, 2026, at the age of 74. Born on August 30, 1951, in Louisiana, Margaret devoted her life to her family and her work, touching the lives of many as a waitress in the food service industry.
Margaret is survived by her loving husband, Effrey "Jr" Thibodeaux, and her cherished children: Lee Gaspard (Candy), Monica Moore (Channing), Sammy Price (Kenneth), Donald Gaspard (Liz), Scotty Thibodeaux (Kristi), and Cody Thibodeaux (Chantel). She also leaves behind her sister, Jean Lockhart, along with her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were the light of her life: Katelyn Bellard (Cameron), Santana Barrow (Kolby), Alex Price, Ryan Price, Colton Moore, Judah Moore, Jessie Bellard, April Palencia (Nathan), Connor Thibodeaux, Adrienne Thibodeaux, Colton Saltzman, Callie Thibodeaux, and great-grandchildren Macie Little, Jasper Bellard, River Bellard, Riley Gaspard, and Ryder Barrow. Margaret is further survived by her Godchild, Tina Lockhart.
A devoted member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church, Margaret found joy in her faith and community involvement through the Iowa Senior Center and CFMA. She had a vibrant spirit, often seen playing games with her grandchildren, enjoying pokeno, and engaging in lively bingo sessions. Her love of French music and her talent for hosting family gatherings brought joy and warmth to countless celebrations, creating memories that will be cherished forever.
The family will honor her life with a funeral service at Johnson Funeral Home of Iowa on Monday, July 6, 2026, at 2:00 PM. Visitation will be on Monday from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Burial will follow in Magnolia Cemetery, Ragley, LA.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, Eddie and Armentine Royer; her first love, Glynn "Mac" Gaspard; her siblings, Eddie Royer, Jr., Grace Chesson, Shirley Cormier; her sons, Bradley Palmer, Jr., Justin Bergeron; her grandchildren, Abigail Moore, Elijah Moore; her great-grandchildren, Roselynn Gaspard, Clay Bellard.
