Margaret Richard Nix, 78, of Iowa, LA went to be with her precious Lord at 1:07 p.m. Monday, September 28, 2015 in her residence.
Margaret was born in Branch, LA to the late Newit & Alice (Oliver) Richard on August 31, 1937. She spent many years working in nursing homes & retired as a caregiver. Margaret had so much love & faith for God as a Pentecostal.
Survivors include her daughters, Donna Marie Pyle of DeRidder, LA, Brenda Kay Ardoin of Iowa, LA, Pamela & Benjamin Clolinger of Lake Charles, LA, Sandra Broussard & Carla Sue Strickland both of Saucier, MS; son, Allen Rocky Nix of Saucier, MS; sisters, Violet Winn of Welsh, LA & Ada Cormier of Lake Charles, LA; brother, Newit Richard of Hayes, LA; 17 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents & great grandson Matthew Nix.
Funeral services are Thursday, October 1, 2015 at 2 p.m. in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Broussard Cemetery under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home. Visitation is Thursday from 10 a.m. – until the time of service in the funeral home.
