Margaret Christine Boudreaux, 75, of Bell City, LA passed away on February 17, 2019 at a local hospital. Margaret was born on August 1, 1943 to Newton and Thelma Busby Reeves.
Margaret drove a school bus for both Cameron Parish and Calcasieu Parish for over 20 years. She was a true homemaker who loved her coffee and cooking her famous fried chicken as well as almost anything that anyone requested. She was “old school” in taking care of her home, including ironing and cleaning, her hands were never idle, always finding ways to help others. She and her husband John moved to Bell City after losing their home in Creole to Hurricane Rita. Along with her love for her home and family, she loved to be with John as he hunted and trapped alligators.
Margaret is preceded in death by her parents, and her son Albert Lee Johns, Jr., her granddaughter Richelle La-Nae Boudreaux, and her sister, Winnie Reeves.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of over 47 years, John Boudreaux and her children Talton (Cindy) Johns, Veronica (Joey) Durrett and Joyce (Fred) Conner. She is also survived by her step children, Rita Boudreaux, Jim Boudreaux, Roger (Janell) Boudreaux and Marina Boudreaux. Margaret also leaves her siblings L.J. Reeves,
A.J. (Debbie) Reeves, Betty (“Buddy” George) Alexander and Annie (Leonard) Chapman. Others left to cherish her memory include her 17 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at Johnson Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 20, 2019 from 10AM-1PM. A funeral Service will follow at 1PM officiated by Reverend Alfred Gibson. Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home.
