Maridel B. Ertl

Maridel Boulet Ertl, 90, of Lake Charles, LA, died at 9:30 PM on Friday, July 21, 2017 in a local care facility.

Mrs. Ertl was born May 28, 1927 in Indian Bayou, LA, where she graduated from high school and graduated from McNeese State College with her degree in Art Education. She was a longtime member of St. Luke-Simpson United Methodist Church. She loved to square dance and round dance and was an excellent seamstress. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be missed dearly.

Mrs. Ertl is survived by her children, Cynthia Stutes Sengelmann of Miami, FL, Steven V. Stutes and wife Connie Koch Stutes of Baytown, TX, Christine Stutes Rugemer of Lake Charles, and Sheldon G. Stutes and wife Mitzi Harrington Stutes, also of Lake Charles; brother, J. B. Boulet and wife Tessie of Atlanta, GA; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Ertl.

Cremation was entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home. A memorial service will be at a later date.
