Marie Marion Pousson

Marie Marion Pousson, born in Iota, Louisiana on October 2, 1931, daughter of the late John and Eva Daigle Pousson, passed away in a local hospital on Saturday, June 22, 2024, at the age of ninety-two.

Marion, a graduate of Lacassine High School, attended Matthew Business College. She was a secretary for Lacassine High School and a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, where she sang in the choir. Marion was a Catholic Daughter.

Marion is survived by her great nieces and nephews, Marcell Pousson (P.J.), Michael Pousson (fiancé, Amber), Michele Iguess (Shannon Manuel); great-great nieces and nephews, Bethany Miller, Trevor Janise, Gavin Pousson, Hailey Pousson, Emily Pena`; great-great-great nieces and nephews, Waylon, Hudson, Camille, Cooper, Luxx, Rhett, and Katherine. She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, John E. Pousson; nephews, Richard, Nelson, and Larry Pousson.

A Mass of Christian burial will be in St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church on Thursday, June 27, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. Rev. Jom Joseph, Celebrant. Burial will follow in Lacassine Cemetery under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. Visitation will begin Wednesday in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m., with a rosary recited at 6 p.m. and will resume Thursday from 8:30 a.m. until 10:15 a.m.
