Marilyn Foster

Marilyn Foster, 47, passed away on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 in a local hospital. 

Marilyn was a lifelong resident of Sulphur.  She was a 1987 graduate of Sulphur High School and earned her associates degree from Sowela.  She was employed with the Calcasieu Parish School Board for 15 years working in the cafeteria and as a bus driver.  Marilyn also taught driving for Parkview Driving School for 10 years.  Marilyn was a member of Our Lady of LaSalette Church in Sulphur and a member of the American Legion Post 179.

Marilyn is survived by her husband of 27 years, Robert, Sr.; her children, Robert Jr., and fiancé Victoria Thomason, Haley Foster and fiancé Big-E and Dusty Foster; siblings, McDaniel “Danny” Doucet (Lisa), Melanie Doucet Fields (Rogers) and Alaina Doucet; grandchildren, Kayleigh Foster, Robert Foster, III and Mason Foster; her mother, Mary L. Doucet; and father in law, Bobby Foster.  She was preceded in death by her father, McDaniel Doucet, Sr. and mother in law, Sueann Foster. 

Services for Marilyn will be held on Friday, October 21, 2016 at 2 PM at Our Lady of LaSalette Church with Father Andrews Kollannoor, M.S. officiating.  Burial will follow at Farquhar Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 20, 2016 from 2-9 PM at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home with a rosary recited at 6:30 PM and will resume on Friday, October 21, 2016 from 8 am until leaving for the church.
