Marilyn Guzman Bourque, 65, of LeBleu Settlement passed away at 9:14 PM, Monday, August 22, 2011 in a local hospital.


She was a native and life resident of the Lake Charles area. Mrs. Bourque worked many years as Secretary of the Pipeline Construction Local #692 and retired from Sears. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.


Survivors include her husband, Melvin Russell Bourque; one son, Brett Owen Bourque and wife Sharon all of LeBleu Settlement; four grandchildren, Brittany Bourque, Telissa Istre and husband Nathan, Jace Owen Bourque and wife Becky, and Crystal Shelton and husband Brian and seven great grandchildren; sister, Linda Sue Banga; brother, John Carson and brother-in-law, Owen "Buddy" Bourque.


Her funeral will be at 11:00 AM, Thursday, August 25, 2011 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend John Huckaby will officiate. Burial will be in LeBleu Cemetery in Chloe. Visitation will be Wednesday, from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a rosary being recited at 7:00 PM, with Monsignor Joseph Bourque officiating, and continue on Thursday, from 9:00 AM until time of services in the funeral home.
