Marjorie "Margie" Touchet Beville

Marjorie “Margie” Touchet Beville, 90, of Lake Charles passed away on Saturday, December 27, 2025 in her residence.

Born on July 1, 1935, in Duson, Louisiana, Mrs. Beville later made her home in Lake Charles, where she graduated from LaGrange High School. After raising her children, she devoted herself to running Touchet Grocery Store, the family business founded by her father.

A devoted Catholic, she was a faithful member of Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. She found great joy in watching her sons play football and baseball during their younger years and was always one of their biggest supporters.

She cherished time spent with her neighborhood ladies’ coffee and craft group. She handmade beautiful quilts and lovingly sewed dresses for her granddaughters, leaving behind treasured keepsakes that will be remembered for years to come. An avid walker, she enjoyed daily walks with her neighbors, valuing both friendship and an active life.

Those left to cherish her memory is her husband of 70 years, Claude Beville; her children, Teena Stoddard, Claude A. Beville (Cindy), and Steven Beville (Julie); siblings, Dot Klentos, Cat Fontenot, Agnes Fontenot, and George Touchet; and her grandchildren, Adam, Chloe, Logan (Emily), and Holly Beville.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, December 31, 2025 in the Johnson Funeral Home chapel in Lake Charles. Monsignor Daniel Torres will officiate. Burial will follow in Consolata Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM and continue until the start of the service.
