Marjorie Ruth Learn, 92, of Lake Charles died Thursday February 2, 2012 at a local care facility.
Mrs. Learn was born in Scott's Bluff, Nebraska on February 20, 1919 to Isaac Newton Hughes and Lettie Rill Irion. She was a homemaker, having lived in San Mateo, CA moving to Byron, CA for 19 years before coming to Iowa, LA in 2003. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by two daughters, Susan Jack Jones and husband Michael Dan of Iowa and Dixie Ann Schoch, Byron, CA; two sons, James Downing Learn and wife Helen, Colfax, CA and William Maurice Lear, Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin; one sister, Norma Echols, Mesilla Park, New Mexico; seven grandchildren, Elaina, Luke, Justin, Natalie, Jessica, Patrick, and Michael; and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 11:00 AM today, Saturday February 4, 2012 at Johnson Funeral Home until 3:00 PM. Funeral services will be at 3:00 PM today at the funeral home with Chaplin Don Duplechian officiating. Burial will follow at Laccasine Cemetery.
