Mark Alan Shearer Ii

Mark Shearer II, 30, of Moss Bluff, LA died Sunday, December 4, 2016 at a local hospital.

Mark was born on December 22, 1985 in Lake Charles, LA to Mark and Darlene Shearer. He was an avid Saints and LSU fan. Mark enjoyed the great outdoors, fishing, hunting, playing golf, and was a gun enthusiast.  He was an employee of Conoco Phillips for three years. Mark was very talented playing various instruments, including guitars, saxophone, drums, and piano. Mark sincerely loved his family and especially his three children and loving sister. He was a competitive athlete and entrepreneur. Mark also played in drum line and football at Sam Houston High School.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 7 years, Amanda Shearer; three children, Nolan Micah Shearer, Halle Ember Shearer, and Lilia Grae Shearer; one sister, Nicole Brooke Shearer; parents, Mark Shearer and Darlene Otis, step father, Asa D. Otis. Jr.; step brother, Justin Otis and wife Jessica; and loving grandmother, Marjorie McFarland as well as many loving family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his beloved Paw Paw, Raymond McFarland and grandfather, Charles Shearer.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Thursday, December 8, 2016 at Moss Bluff Pentecostal Church. Visitation will begin from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at Moss Bluff Pentecostal Church. Visitation will resume from 8:00 AM until time of services on Thursday, December 8, 2016 at the church. Burial will be at Highland Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Pastor Jared Pugh will officiate services.
