Mark Leslie Roy, born in Lake Charles on September 29, 1955, son of Anthony D. and Florence Davis Roy, passed away Sunday, April 14, 2024, at age 68.
Mark, a graduate of Iowa High School, was a member of the Iowa Football Club, LeBleu Volunteer Firefighter, and Assistant Chief of LeBleu.
He was a self-employed contractor and owned PineKnot Builders.
Mark loved sharing his testimony and going on mission trips to Nicaragua, Guatemala, Brazil, Africa and India. He attended Church of the Promise. He made sure to spread the word and love of Jesus Christ to all he met.
In his spare time, Mark enjoyed hunting, fishing, being outdoors, and most of all, spending time with his grandchildren. He was a most loving husband, father, and grandfather.
He is preceded in death by his father, Anthony D. Roy, and infant brother.
Survivors are his wife of 48 years, Debbie Roy; mother, Florence Davis Roy; daughters, Jessica Huval (Scotty), Jenny Lantz (Shaye) Jill Stollsteimer (Robbie); brother, Michael Roy (Margaret), sisters, Cynthia Roy, and Katie Voyght (Adrian); 9 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
A Celebration of Life will be in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at 6 p.m. Prentis Miller, Celebrant. Visitation begins Wednesday from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa.
