Marlene Duplechin Manuel

Marlene Duplechin Manuel, 73, of Many, LA passed away at 2:15 AM on Saturday, April 2, 2022 in a local hospice facility.

Mrs. Manuel was born on January 23, 1949 in Lake Charles where she lived all of her life.  She was a daycare worker for many years, and she loved the children she took care of. 

She will be remembered for her kind and generous spirit and a giving heart.  Mrs. Manuel was a people person that never met a stranger and enjoyed going dancing. 

Those left to cherish her memory are husband, Kirby Manuel, Jr.; children, Waylon Marceaux (Stephanie Hooper) and Tamara Marceaux; and a brother, Randy Duplechin.

She was preceded in death by a son, Clanis James Marceaux, Jr.; father, Wesley “Dup” Duplechin; mother, Voicy Duplechin; and sister in law, Lana Duplechin.

Cremation was entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home.
