Marlene Pousson Gentry

Marlene Pousson Gentry, born in Iowa on November 8, 1932, daughter of Acard and Ida (LeFranc) Pousson, passed away in Lafayette on Saturday, April 23, 2022, at the age of 89.
Marlene was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Fenton. She worked at The Monsanto Co for many years and retired from Miller House of Sports. She loved watching all types of sports.
She is preceded in death by her parents; spouse, Gary Lane Gentry, Sr., and daughter, Sharon Gentry Hawkins.
Marlene is survived by her children, Ray Maybery (Sondra); Lane Gentry, Jr., and Sandra Gentry; son-in-law, Jim Hawkins; grandchildren, Katie Hawkins Jones (Justin), Carolyn Hawkins, Jennifer Maybery, Steven Maybery, Kinney Maybery (Laura), and Mary Ida Gentry Guidry (Schuylor); great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Easton, Remie, Natalie, and Bubbie.
Funeral services are Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at 10 a.m. in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. Rev. Roland Vaughn, Celebrant. Burial will follow in LeFranc Cemetery. Visitation begins Monday in the funeral home from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m., with a rosary recited at 6:30 p.m. and will resume Tuesday from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m.
