Marlon R. Benoit

Feb 14, 1968 — Jun 23, 2026

Marlon Benoit, age 58, passed away on June 23, 2026. Marlon was born on February 14, 1968, to Herbert Benoit and Eva Lorraine Savoie Benoit.

Marlon was a proud parishioner of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Creole, a member of the Knights of Columbus, and a lifelong resident of Cameron Parish. He was a man known for his laughter, strength, generosity, and unwavering loyalty to those he loved. Marlon lived life to the fullest and never met a stranger. If you spent any amount of time with him, you quickly learned that he had a way of making everyone feel like family.

Marlon enjoyed the simple pleasures of life-spending time with friends and family, visiting with his nieces and nephews, encouraging and joking with children, sharing stories, and, of course, enjoying a cold Bud Light with those he cared about. His presence could light up any room, and his sense of humor and larger-than-life personality left a lasting impression on everyone he met.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert Benoit and Eva Lorraine Savoie Benoit; his grandparents, Jimmie Savoie, Myrtle Labove Savoie, Eli Benoit, and Alida Labove Benoit; and his brothers, Gregory, Dexter, and Pat Benoit.

He is survived by his siblings, Rhonda Sue Largent, Leola Doxey, Margaret Mims, Driscilla Conner, Lionel "T-Boy" Benoit, and Bradley Benoit. He also leaves behind numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, many dear friends, and his devoted mentors, Robin and Anne Roberts, whose friendship, guidance, and support meant so much to him throughout his life.

Marlon's legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched, the friendships he built, the family he cherished, and the community he proudly called home. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
