Martin Edward Salters

Martin Edward Salters, 49, of Lake Charles LA, passed away on July 16, 2017. Martin was born on November 13, 1967, in New Albany, IN, to Lloyd and Lula Bell Thombleson Salters.

Martin was a native of Princeton, IN, where he attended high school and was the Indiana State Wrestling Champion in 1986. He also attended Indiana University. Martin and his wife Susan moved to Lake Charles three years ago. He was as a Poker Dealer for the Isle of Capri.

Martin loved to play poker and watching just about any kind of sporting events. More than anything else, Martin loved his two children, Elijah and Zoey.

Those left to cherish Martin’s memory are his parents, his wife Susan and their two children, Elijah and Zoey. He also leaves two brothers, Mike (Debbie) Salters and Mark (Chris) Salters, along with six nephews and two nieces.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 19, 2017, from 1-3PM at Johnson Funeral Home. Memorial services will be held beginning at 3PM, with Rev. Jerry Parmentier. Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home.
