Marvin Douglas "Tee" Smith Jr.

Marvin Douglas “Tee” Smith, Jr., 52, of Lake Charles passed away at 11:58 AM on Monday, March 20, 2017 in a Lafayette hospital.

Tee was born on December 12, 1964 in Lake Charles where he was a lifelong resident and a graduate of Barbe High School.  He worked for Kroger, Market Basket, and most recently for Arabie Roofing.  Tee enjoyed fishing and watching all sports on TV.  He was a people person who never met a stranger and always made others laugh.  Tee had a soft spot for animals.

Those left to cherish his memory are his parents, Mary Alice LeBlanc Smith and Marvin D. Smith, Sr. of Lake Charles; a sister, Shonna Smith LeDoux (Chad) of Lake Charles; a niece, Karli Smith; and a great niece, Hollyn Smith.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Steve and Ella LeBlanc and Charles Smith and his step grandfather, Dempsey Malone.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, March 24, 2017 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will follow in Prien Memorial Park Cemetery.  Visitation will begin on Thursday from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM and will continue on Friday from 8:00 AM until the start of the service.
