Marvin E. Hollis

Marvin Hollis, of Westlake, died Tuesday December 8, 2015 at a local care center surrounded by his loving family.
Marvin was native of Ponchatoula, LA and long time resident of Lake Charles. He was a graduate of LaGrange High School and retired from Conoco, where he worked as an outside machinist and foreman. He was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Anita Brocato Hollis. Marvin leaves to honor and cherish his memories, four children, David Wayne Hollis and wife Sherry, Katy, TX; Susan Viator, Lake Charles; Mary Turner and husband Alan, Westlake; and Nancy Hansen, Westlake; nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Visitation will be today, December 10, 2015 from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation continues on Friday from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM with a funeral service at 11:00 AM. Rev. Theron Watson will officiate. Burial will be at Highland Memorial Gardens.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the nurses and staff of Heart of Hospice, Brookedale Assisted Living and Marvin’s caretaker, Belkis Barber.
