Mary Borel Guidry

Mary Borel Guidry, 84, passed away on Saturday, May 29, 2021 in a local hospital. 

She was born on March 12, 1937 in Lake Charles, LA to Joseph and Anna Borel. 

She will be remembered for the love she had for her family and countless hours she spent in prayer for them. She truly enjoyed working in her flower garden, traveling and watching football and golf. She was a devout Christian and a dedicated member of The Vineyard in Moss Bluff. 

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Vickie Benoit, Cheryl L. Kershaw (Terry), Jeanne Boudreaux, Glenda Goodwin (Johnny), Robert Guidry, Jr., Susan Haltom (Greg), and Chad Morgan (Griselle); grandchildren, Jeff, Deidra, Chris, Jeremiah, Sam, Zachory, Marissa, Monique, Randall, Jr., Mary Kaylan, Jodie, Jillie, Joshua, Cindy, Sarah, Kirk, Charissa, Aidan, and Devan; 37 great grandchildren; siblings, Daniel Borel (Penny) and Jane Keziah (Grady); sister in law, Mary Ann Borel; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Guidry, Sr.; children, Guy Allen LaBiche, Morris Maxie LaBiche, Jr. and Kirk Collins LaBiche, Sr.; one infant great-grandchild; her parents, Joseph and Anna Borel; and brother “Spike” Borel. 

A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at The Vineyard Church at 3300 Hwy 171 Moss Bluff, LA 70611. Refreshments will follow the service.
