Mary Helen Bowman

Lake Charles-Mary Helen Bowman, 92, born November 26, 1921, loving mother, sister, grandmother, and great- grandmother, passed away in a local hospital, Sunday, July 20, 2014.
Mary was born in Lake Charles to the late Arsene and Catherine LeFranc LeBleu. She was a graduate of Iowa High School and a member of Living Water Ministry. Mary was an employee of the Calcasieu Parish School Board. She enjoyed gardening, tending to her plants and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her children, Arden Bowman and wife, Millie of Iowa; Barbara A. Broussard and husband, Wayne of Lake Charles and Bonnie Olmsted and husband, Roland of Lake Charles; sister, Mabel West and husband, Billy of Vinton; 13 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren also survive her. Mary is also survived by her son-in-law, Win Sonnier and daughter-in-law, Peggy Bowman Hebert. She is preceded in death by her parents; spouse, James Oliver Bowman; son, Lawrence Bowman; daughter, Linda Sonnier and granddaughter, Sara Broussard and great- grandchild, Jesslynn Barbery.
