Mary Burns LeDoux, 71, passed away on January 11, 2022, at M.D. Anderson hospital surrounded by her family. Mary was a coach, mentor, and umpire for many softball and basketball teams in Sulphur. Mary was a longtime bus driver for the Calcasieu Parish School Board and drove the St Louis sports teams. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend and loved her grandchildren dearly.
Mary is survived by her two children, Shea Hare and husband, Colton and Beau LeDoux; her grandchildren, Calais Hare, Cyda Hare, Calyl Hare, Canton Hare, Teche LeDoux, and Waylon LeDoux; and her siblings, Craig Burns and wife, Linda, Flo Savant and husband, Ralph, Shawn Burns; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin LeDoux; her parents, Bernie and Prudence Burns; her sister-in-law, Lucy Burns; and one nephew, Mac Burns.
Services for Mary will be held on Monday, January 17, 2022, at 10 AM at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Carter Cemetery in Kinder, LA. The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 16, 2022, at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home from 2-9 PM with a rosary recited at 6 PM. Visitation will resume on Monday morning from 8 AM until time to leave for the church.
